IT IS WITH DEEP SADNESS THAT THE UNIVERSITY OMBUDS OFFICE ANNOUNCES THE PASSING OF OUR COLLEAGUE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, 2021.
Laurie Mesibov was an ombuds because she believed people wanted to do a good job, and to be respected and appreciated for the work they do. She understood that while workplace problems and conflicts are inevitable, they also offer opportunities for positive change, learning, and professional development.
Laurie considered it a privilege to serve the Carolina Community as an ombuds, and will truly be missed.
